The AVIXA Foundation recently hosted 140 students, educators, and community leaders from Southern California for an AV career day at the newly renovated L.A. Memorial Coliseum. Participants got an up-close look at the new AV technology in action and met with AV professionals to learn about careers in the industry. “Events like this are an essential part of the Foundation’s mission to showcase exciting opportunities and build more bridges from school to the workplace,” said Program Director Joseph Valerio. The AVIXA Foundation is working to raise awareness among student of AV careers, which can be well compensated according to AVIXA’s latest Pro-AV Chanel Employment Report. Mean pro-AV salary in 2018 exceeded the most recent U.S. national mean salary by more than 60 percent.
