The Test to Prove Your AV Knowledge

When you are new to the AV industry, you need a way to prove your knowledge, to show how you stand out from the crowd.

Free to AVIXA Premium and Elite Members, the AVIXA-Recognized AV Technologist Test has been developed to not only provide a common AV vocabulary, but also provide a bridge to the ANAB-accredited Certified Technology Specialist™ (CTS®) credentials.

Steps to Getting Your AV Technologist Certificate

  1. Prepare for the test by taking Essentials of AV Technology Online (free to AVIXA Premium and Elite Members) or in an onsite Classroom course. All the content on the test is covered in this course.

  2. Register for the Test

  3. Take the 100-question AVIXA-Recognized AV Technologist Test online
    Length: 90 minutes, 100 questions
    Passing score: 80% and above
    Language: English, Spanish, Portuguese, and German

*Remember: You are not required to take any classes or purchase any products to earn the CTS, nor does your enrollment guarantee that you will pass the exam. This is just one option that has worked for some CTS candidates.
