InfoComm International®, the trade association representing the commercial audiovisual industry worldwide, announced that Zero-Ohm was the winner of the 2017 Innovations Showcase People’s Choice Award, presented during InfoComm 2017 in Orlando, Fla.
FAIRFAX, VA – June 16, 2017 – InfoComm International®, the trade association representing the commercial audiovisual industry worldwide, announced that Zero-Ohm was the winner of the 2017 Innovations Showcase People’s Choice Award, presented during InfoComm 2017 in Orlando, Fla.
At InfoComm 2017, 17 companies exhibited solutions in the Innovations Showcase, June 14-16 at the Orange County Convention Center. First introduced at InfoComm 2015, the Innovations Showcase is an area on the expo floor for both startups and companies new to the AV industry to introduce themselves to the InfoComm audience. In addition to demonstrating their solutions to attendees, exhibiting companies compete for awards.
Receiving the most votes from attendees visiting the Innovations Showcase, People’s Choice Award-winner Zero-Ohm was presented with $10,000 and free exhibit space at InfoComm 2018, June 6-8, 2018, in Las Vegas. Zero-Ohm showcased the Zero-Ohm Multispeaker System, a passive device that interconnects between any amplifier and multiple loudspeakers without worrying about amplifier speaker loads, impedance and extremely long cable runs.
InfoComm also honored Althar Audio with the 2017 Innovations Showcase Judges’ Award. Althar Audio displayed its beam-forming loudspeaker, which possesses an extremely high resistance to feedback. One unit can be utilized in a 10-by-15-foot room, while a pair can fill a soccer field. The judges included Richard Blackwell, Innovations Showcase Advisor and CEO of Linked2 Software; Fred Bargetzi, CTO of Crestron; Gary Kayye, Founder and CEO of rAVe Publications; and Scott Walker, CEO of Waveguide.
The Innovations Showcase second place People’s Choice honor and $3,500 went to Crowd Mics and third place and $1,500 to BoxCast. In addition, System Surveyor was recognized as the Judges’ Honorable Mention.
