FAIRFAX, VA – June 11, 2019 – Attendees of EdTechXEurope 2019, taking place June 18 at the Brewery in London, will get a look at the ways audiovisual solutions can improve the modern learning experience. David Labuskes, CTS®, Chief Executive Officer of AVIXA™, the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, will host two discussions titled “Audiovisual Experiences and the Future of Education” and “Creating the Global Classroom of the Future.”

“Leading education institutions are leveraging audiovisual and digital technologies to create exceptional experiences and environments that improve learning outcomes and prepare students to succeed in a world increasingly defined by tech literacy,” said Brad Grimes, Senior Director of Communications for AVIXA. “At EdTechXEurope we will host a pair of panels that explore the specific ways these technologies are redefining the modern place-based and distance learning environment.”

EdTechXEurope is a premier thought-leadership summit that brings together 900-plus executive-level investors, innovators, and industry influencers from European and international education companies and institutions.

Andi Allan, Head of Design at Reflex Ltd.; Meena Amlani, Head of Faculty, British Columbia Institute of Technology; and Lisa Carrier, Head of Technology Enhanced Education, at Imperial College London will join Labuskes on the “Audiovisual Experiences and the Future of Education” panel discussion.

Teresa Ramos Martin, Director of Technology & Innovation at IE University, and Toni Moss, Managing Director of CDEC Limited, will join Labuskes as participants in the “Creating the Global Classroom of the Future” panel.

According to AVIXA’s Market Opportunity Analysis Report (MOAR) covering education, nearly nine in 10 students (88 percent) have at least one form of AV technology present in their classrooms or workspaces, with greater engagement and a better ability to learn among numerous benefits directly tied to the presence of AV.

“I am excited to join this distinguished group of thought leaders for two very stimulating panel discussions that are certain to raise awareness of the amazing learning outcomes being realized by establishing audiovisual and digital technologies as a centerpiece of the modern learning environment,” Labuskes said.

Panelists will discuss emerging audiovisual technologies they’re integrating to create global classrooms; the ways in which audiovisual technology enhances a classroom and enables broader campus connectivity; and the technology infrastructure required to deliver the best learning experience — now and in the future.

“Audiovisual technology is making the world a smaller and infinitely better-connected place,” Grimes said. “Nowhere is this more evident than in 21st-century education, as these panel discussions will demonstrate.”
