I am an editor, writer, storyteller of all things AV/IT. I joined the AVIXA Diversity Council because as a woman I know what it is like to be treated as less than equal and I want to be a part of helping a broader group of diverse people in our industry have an equal voice.
Charmaine Torruella is the Global Services Manager at Verrex, and Chairperson for the AVIXA Diversity Council. Charmaine’s 18-year career in both IT and AV, along with her Jamaican and Cuban heritage and achievements as a single working mother, put her in the unique position to galvanize and champion the AVIXA’s diversity initiatives.
