Why did I join #AVIXA Diversity council? There was a call to action from AVIXA and I figured if change was not happening by now, then maybe it was time to step up.

Charmaine Torruella is the Global Services Manager at Verrex, and Chairperson for the AVIXA Diversity Council. Charmaine’s 18-year career in both IT and AV, along with her Jamaican and Cuban heritage and achievements as a single working mother, put her in the unique position to galvanize and champion the AVIXA’s diversity initiatives.
