The Halo Board Comes to Live Events at the charity: water Ball
charity: water, a non-profit organization that brings clean and safe drinking water to people in emerging economies, is known for having exciting events that surprise guests. Their recent fundraising event in San Francisco surprised guests with a jaw-dropping AV installation that told a 360-degree visual story – in a solution reminiscent of the Mercedes Benz Stadium halo board.
840 LED panels were rigged into a 276-foot circumference, 20-foot tall round configuration to create a 40,000-pound Halo screen inside the historic San Francisco Armory. A film produced just for the event told the story of an Ethiopian woman’s daily journey is search for water. The guests were completely immersed in her experience, and empowered to give immediately through the event’s mobile app.
The event was produced by Trademark Productions, with the film being directed by Drew Lightfoot and produced by BODEGA studios. Production partners included All of it Now and Immersive. Grayson Matthews’ provided live spatial audio mixing, and the music was scored by Brooklyn-based bank Live Footage. GlobalTrend served as AV technology partner. The team was awarded the Corporate Event Award from Exhibitor Magazine, and the United Nations Department of Public Information Award.
