Demand the CTS Difference

AVIXA has offered its certification program for more than 30 years and every year certifies more qualified AV professionals than anyone else in the industry. Individuals, companies and customers have always recognized the CTS® certification for its credibility and integrity. AVIXA’s CTS certification program assesses individuals against peer-developed standards and competencies and provides a credential that is time limited for three years. For those certified, continued competency is enhanced through ongoing renewal requirements and adherence to the CTS Code of Ethics and Conduct.

AVIXA obtained accreditation of the CTS, CTS-D (design), and CTS-I (installation) programs through the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) ISO/IEC I7024 certification of personnel, which is administered in the U.S. by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB). The ISO/IEC 17024:2012 standard is a program that assures the public and the CTS certification holders that AVIXA is applying best practices to the administration of the CTS program. These organizations have declared that the CTS, CTS-D and CTS-I meet essential requirements for openness, balance, consensus and due process in accordance with the ISO/IEC 17024:2012 standard.

Because the CTS credential is respected worldwide and is the only AV certification with ISO/IEC 17024:2012 accreditation, many architects, general contractors and others who engage AV professionals require their AV Designers and/or systems integrators to employ AV professionals who hold the CTS credential. Others give preference to AV companies that employ CTS holders.

If your company would like to require or give preference to AV companies that have invested in the highest level of certification and continuing education for its employees, state your clear preference for vendors that provide the CTS difference using the sample RFP/RFQ language below.
