Public Statement on Volunteer Leadership
At AVIXA we champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging for our industry and deeply understand why and how language matters. When we see examples that do not uphold these efforts by our volunteer leaders, it is our mission to understand, educate and act, but not to share those actions publicly.
Volunteer leaders including those of our councils and regional groups sign volunteer agreements that include codes of conduct. AVIXA has procedures in place where volunteer leaders may step down or be removed if these codes of conduct are not upheld.
It is our hope that the community will continue to champion these efforts and support one another across the many platforms and events that make relationships stronger, and learn from one another in a welcoming global community.
