Unconscious Bias Training
Raising awareness of unconscious bias and the steps individuals can take to prevent biased attitudes and behaviors from interfering with workplace decisions and interactions.
The diverse voices of our industry inspire us to grow and bring change for the benefit of all that make up the audiovisual world. This includes taking a positive stand for more inclusion and equity for all, through a commitment to go further, push ourselves, and challenge our boundaries to help others on their journey.
As a member-driven association, we are using our talent and resources, as well as that of our industry volunteers to be a voice of change. We know that as the global industry organization, AVIXA must be intentional in acting on these issues and provide resources to affect change across the AV community.

Inclusive language acknowledges diversity, conveys respect to all, is sensitive to differences, and promotes equality.
At AVIXA, you trust us to tackle both industry and social issues. In order to lead this path forward, we are championing an environment of giving, sharing, mutual respect and equity through both learning and education. We are committed to providing training resources, shining a light on diverse perspectives, impactful research and platforms that will support our industry on way forward.
As part of this commitment, we invite you to join in our mission for a more equitable future for the AV industry. Let us begin the conversation, share your ideas, and together we can accomplish meaningful change.
Through the AVIXA Foundation, we make regular contributions to two AV-related partner nonprofit organizations tackling racism and building career pipelines into the audiovisual industry for young adults from underrepresented communities. Loop Lab, EnventU, Diverse Media Institute, and New Futures work tirelessly to help build a more equitable and inclusive industry for us all.
At AVIXA, we are committed to being the virtual diversity officer of the AV industry. We will chart a roadmap to an inclusive future through hands-on tools and professional guidance and reporting.
Beyond accelerating progress within AVIXA, we have a responsibility to help drive change within the audiovisual industry.
“We know there is a lot of work to do to improve diversity in our industry, and it can’t be achieved overnight, but I can pledge to you that AVIXA is dedicated to this action and will continue to share our progress along the way.”
